Employees in the Parliamentary Service have similar review rights to employees in the Australian Public Service. These review rights are provided for in the Parliamentary Service Act 1999 and the Parliamentary Service Determination 2013.
The Merit Protection Commissioner is also the Parliamentary Service Merit Protection Commissioner. The Commissioner provides independent review of employment actions in the Parliamentary Service.
