Members and potential members of an independent selection advisory committee (ISAC) or promotion review committee (PRC)
Committee members must be impartial, uphold confidentiality and give candidates a fair hearing.
Committee members help ensure that APS recruitment is done with integrity. You receive training and experience in merit-based decision-making and administrative review.
All committee members must sign declarations of impartiality and non-disclosure.
The Merit Protection Commissioner has established a register of suitable employees to form committees.
While serving on a committee, your salary is paid by your agency and you are 'on duty'. Being on the register is no guarantee of being asked to sit on a committee.
More information about ISACs and PRCs is available.
The Merit Protection Commissioner is looking for APS employees with an interest in, and commitment to, professional and ethical employment decision making to register interest in being selection and review committee members. Find the application forms here.
Your role is to compare the candidates or applicants for a job and determine whose claims are the strongest.
